As reported in this week’s Harborough Mail, former England International Peter Crouch’s Market Harborough’s stay was for a wedding and he arrived with his wife Abbey Clancy.
When the couple ordered a taxi to take them from the Three Swans to the wedding. We were delighted that they decided to choose Murphys Taxis for their journey.

Peter Crouch has played for a number of teams in the Premier League. These include Liverpool, Tottenham and his current team Stoke. As well as his 42 caps for England and the 22 goals that the striker has scored for his country, Crouch is well known for his height. At just over 2 metres, he has long been one of the tallest players in English professional football. So we were pleased that our fleet of taxis with plenty of headroom and comfortable spacious seating was suitable for ‘Crouchy.’
Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy is a popular model and TV presenter. She is perhaps best known for winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. With a successful career as a top international model, she is certainly fond of the finer things in life. We hope that she found the ride quality, punctual service and comfortable interior of her Murphys taxi lived up to her expectations.
The couple were in town to attend the wedding of Kasabian’s guitarist Serge Pizzorno. Other celebrity wedding guests at the event included Noel Fielding and Kate Moss.
Our driver was very please to deliver and collect the couple safely and both were very friendly. .
